We kept walking for about ten minutes and finally stopped at a small house. We walked up the stairs and inside. It was at a high class Italian restaurant! I’d never been to anything fancy like this before! It was a restaurant in a renovated house! How chic! They didn’t have to go all out like this for little ol’ me! I felt soo special!
I soon discovered that the dinner wasn’t just for me. Well, it wasn’t for me at all. I had thought that they wanted to fill me in on the details about training on Jackie’s private island! But as it turns out it was a meeting with the director of The Tuxedo, Kevin Donovan to discuss ideas for the movie. Willie introduced everyone to Kevin. Solon, Andy, Exy, Dorothy, and finally me.
“This is Allen, we just met him here and he’ll be coming with us to Ireland for a month,”
“Ireland, lucky you!” Ohhh…IRELAND!! Not island! I had misunderstood Willie’s English earlier at lunch because of his Chinese accent! Of course! Jackie was going to Ireland to film a movie and that’s where they asked me to go! Not as cool as a private island, but still AWESOME! I wasn’t sure if I was going for certain yet, but I guess it was all confirmed now!! Geez, things sure do move fast in this business!!
After ordering some appetizers Kevin started talking business, “So your co-star’s going to be Jennifer Love Hewitt,”
“WHAT!?” I thought to myself? One of the hottest girls out there right now will be in this movie! I mean meeting Jackie Chan and having lunch and dinner with him is an experience that would last any man three lifetimes, but actually hearing them talk about ANOTHER celebrity like Jennifer Love Hewitt as if she was just another person, this was too much! This was what their life was like ALL THE TIME! “Oh yes Jennifer Love Hewitt, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Cruise, and Julia Roberts, they’ll all be on my private yacht party this weekend, you should try to make it if you can Jackie, it will be ever so much fun!” was what I imagined Jackie’s life to be like! How wrong I was!
Jackie, Willie, and Solon looked at Kevin confused.
“You know, she’s been in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Party of Five, very talented and beautiful young girl. I’m sure he’s heard of her, haven’t you?”
Kevin had nodded to me. I was caught off guard. All eyes were on me! “Uhh…yeah, she’s very famous here!”
“See? Now let’s order,”
I looked through the menu. The price of the appetizers alone could’ve paid for a meal! Jackie noticed me looking at the menu and said, “I have one rule for all my stuntmen, finish everything on your plate.”
